Monica Nichter
Board Chair
Monica is a retired healthcare executive, serving most recently as the Executive Director of Primary Care for Froedtert Holy Family Memorial. She is an experienced leader in strategy, program growth, operations and human capital development. An alumna of University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master’s Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
David Less
Board Secretary
David brings Shady Lane his extensive background in planning, business financing, and development. For 27 years he was Manitowoc’s City Planner. He is a Certified Economic Development Professional through the National Development Council. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Northern Illinois University in De Kalb and a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago Circle.
Matthew Neu
Finance Chair
Matthew is an Accountant and Senior Manager with Hawkins, Ash CPAs. He holds a BBA in Accounting and Marketing from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. A Manitowoc resident since 1999, Mr. Neu also serves on the Manitowoc County Historical Society Board and the Manitowoc Symphony Orchestra Board.
Kay Avci
Personnel Chair
Kay was the Associate Dean of Nursing for Lakeshore Technical College, Cleveland WI. This position included managing the Associate Degree and Practical Nursing Programs. Ms. Avci’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh and a Master’s Degree in Nursing in Adult Health and Administration from Marquette University in Milwaukee.
Chris Herzog
Long Range Planning Chair
Chris is a community member with multiple past and present board and committee positions. As President of A.C.E. Building Service, Inc. Chris brings over twenty years of experience in the construction industry to the board as well as practical business experience. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville.
Amy Fricke-Weigel
Marketing Chair
Amy is the CEO of Fricke Printing Service Inc. She is a graduate of Roncalli High School and graduate of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business & Communication and Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
Heather Garcia
Heather, MSOTR, CLT is an Occupational Therapist Case Manager with Advocate Aurora Health. Heather’s educational background includes both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from UW-Milwaukee in Occupational Science. She is a certified lymphedema therapist. Heather has 17 years as an Occupational Therapist in Manitowoc County with experience in both nursing home and home care settings.
Terri Hollen
Terri is a retired healthcare executive, most recently serving as CHRO and VP Risk Management with the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity Sponsored Ministries, Inc., a Catholic healthcare system with hospitals and senior care facilities in Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Ohio. Terri has extensive experience in human resources, benefits, and risk management. A lifelong Manitowoc resident, she holds a BBA from UW-Whitewater and an MBA from the University of Delaware.
Amy Skarvan
Amy, BSN, RN is a quality specialist with Froedtert Holy Family Memorial. Prior to this Amy was a staff RN at FHFM. Amy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Bellin College. As a Manitowoc resident, Amy is honored to join Shady Lane’s board as a pathway to improve the health of her community, while focusing on quality and safety in the healthcare setting.
Dennis Tienor
Dennis is a Business Banker with Associated Bank. He completed the Graduate School of Banking at UW-Madison, holds a BS in Finance degree from UW-Whitewater, Associate Degree from UW-Manitowoc, and is an Alum of Valders High School. Dennis is honored to serve Shady Lane, among various non-profits in the community to better our community for all.
