May is Mental Health Awareness Month
According to a survey conducted by the Center for Behavioral Health Statistics and Quality, “Nearly 1 in 5 American adults will have a diagnosable mental health condition in any given year”. Since 1949, Mental Health America has observed May as Mental Health Month, with an effort to bring awareness to mental health conditions and what people can do if their mental health is a cause for concern.
