Award-winning columnist and author Rochelle Pennington will present “Down Memory Lane” at Laurel Grove. Ms. Pennington is the author of seven books including The Christmas Tree Ship, The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, and The Hidden History of Dickens’ Christmas Carol.
Down Memory Lane is a nostalgic journey to a time when life was slower and simpler, the 1930s, 40s, and 50s. Ms. Pennington’s historical, light-hearted program details the everyday life of bygone years, of corner phone booths, party lines, hand-me-down clothes, doctors who made house calls, the Howdy Doody show and outhouses. Her PowerPoint presentation features vintage photographs complimented by an antique collection. A meet-the-author reception will follow. The program is open to the public and free of charge
